PHYSICAL / EMOTIONAL TRANSFERENCE: Most of the time, Cecil is a pretty pleasant guy.  However, he is often gripped with existential crises, in which he doubts whether he or anything around him is actually real.  He is all over the place, emotionally, because he feels things with great intensity and sincerity.  You may experience his elation as he daydreams about his boyfriend, or you may experience absolute misery as he's reminded that said boyfriend is not here.  You may experience powerful, nameless unease and dread.  You may feel as though you are lost and alone, adrift in a meaningless void.  But, subsequently, you'll find yourself pretty okay with it.

Cecil is also the victim of re-education/indoctrination.  There are many things he wishes he could remember, and many things he wishes that he could forget.  Though you won't get any concrete images, a link with Cecil may also mean confused feelings of fear and anxiety over having said too much about something forbidden, and the subsequent punishment for these infractions.

Finally, he will be pining for Carlos on the regular, which may result in feelings of intense longing for a man in a labcoat with dark skin and perfect hair.

PLEASANT MEMORIES

• Looking upon Carlos's perfect face (/hair/teeth/etc) and falling in love instantly
• First date with Carlos
• Sprawled out in an empty field in some unidentifiable European country, in his early 20s and drunk on cheap wine
• A beautiful young man's ashen face
• Rolling into a pit of thorns and intoxicating flowers; getting up, getting in a bed, and rolling back down into it again
• Sitting in a radio booth and affably reporting a random piece of weird-ass news (i.e., anyone that picks this -- I will just decide on a random event that he's reporting on as though it's normal, like all the children disappearing or instructions from the secret police to stand near windows and talk audibly about interesting things)
• Sitting on the back of a truck in the parking lot of an Arby's with Carlos, leaning against him, as they talk and observe the numerous glowing lights hovering above the restaurant sign
• Carlos asking to move in with him
• The gift of a one-month anniversary watch (the one true time piece in all of Night Vale)
• Giggling to his intern, Dana, about cat videos
• Rescuing Carlos from the condo-cube

UNPLEASANT MEMORIES

• As a child, his mother telling him that someone will kill him with a mirror
• Receiving an envelope that orders him to re-education for talking too much about things he was not supposed to talk about
• Stepping through the portal in his studio to Desert Bluffs (comes upon a studio covered in viscera and blood; a shattered window with a lump of hair and teeth over one of the shards; a photo of a man who looks like him, except with obsidian eyes and a horrible smile)
• Encountering Kevin (his Desert Bluffs doppelganger; they briefly strangle each other, but Cecil stops and lets Kevin go)
• Learning that Carlos has been possibly fatally injured by the people of the miniature underground city (much sobbing and whimpering)
• Being chased by an unseen beast through a labyrinth of stone arches
• The monstrous Station Management leaving its office and roaming the building while Cecil cowers under his desk
• Worriedly talking with Dana as she tries to escape the forbidden dog park
• Angrily hissing and spitting about Steve Carlsberg
• Angrily hissing and spitting about Telly, the barber (for cutting Carlos's hair)

WHO THE FUCK KNOWS

• A hooded figure in Cecil's station booth, making horrible static noises
• A glowing cloud that drops dead animals on the street as it rolls along, demanding supplication
• Coming upon Khosekh, the floating cat in the men's bathroom at the station
• The slack-jawed, terrified and pale faces of the people of Luftnarp
• A strange shape that vaporizes one of his interns
• A man, running, with tears streaming down his face
• An army marching over a flood plain strewn with bones as a light blinks up on a mountain in the distance
• Going into the new subway system and experiencing the following: "the cosmic suffering of milennia, witness to eras of countless births, and deaths, and wars, and discoveries, and kisses, and plagues, and knives, and cold, empty void."
• A group of shadowy figures in a circle on a dark shore, swaying into one another, and the impression that these figures are part of a perfect and desirable world
